As I reflect over the last five weeks over all the concepts that I have learned about, I am excited about actually teaching  growth mindset (vs. fixed mindset) to my first graders.  In Dweck's Mindset: The New Psychology of Success, she outlines four steps to a true growth mindset.  For my first assignment for this class, I found activities to help with the first week of school.  I am so excited to do these things with my students next week.  I will be using more activities that I hope to share with all.  Also, I am excited to teach myself and the students "The Power of Yet."  As a teacher, we are pushed in all directions to learn "different" ways to teach and sometimes my fixed mindset (she has a name and it is "Fanny") tells me that I will just never get it.   I have so much to learn.   The growth will continue...
