Sometimes I am scared to share things that I am so passionate about. I have put my heart and soul into things and I usually am the most critical about my own work. A week and a half ago, I had not actually published my Weebly portfolio (I had used Google Sites for my first portfolio.) It had been decided by my group that we would participate in a Google Hangout on Sunday. I knew that I had a lot of work ahead of me. I pulled everything together and even put pictures that showed me growing up. I learned a lot in putting this together and that I was probably would be the hardest evaluator myself. When Sunday came, I was about 75% ready. Bryan, Ann, Brent, and I were able to look at each other's portfolios and really give great feedback. The cool thing about hanging out together was that all of us got to share about what the portfolio meant to us. Brent gave me a great idea to go to Canva (not to be mistaken by Canvas.) This program allowed me to get my pictures in the same size. We did start with my portfolio first and I think that this allowed me to talk more freely about the other portfolios. I loved that we were able to take the time to just talk about each other's portfolios. Placement of things were important as well as making sure that words were seen. I am so glad that I had this opportunity to just talk to these classmates of mine.
I believe that this experience will allow me to trust my classmates in the future. Even though we have not been in the same room with each other, we do have each other's backs. I look forward to working with all the other classmates too.
